This powerful river is about a half way through the Hooker Valley Track. You cannot miss it, its noisy and right on the road. To create such a mountain image you have to walk the rocks, which are slippery and it's really hard to walk them, but if you are cautious, it's alright. The colour of the water is really blueish due to the proglacial nature of the water. The surrounding mountain scenery is not the one to be missed and this location is also good for sunset.
